I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
